
ROCK HILL, SC - The Clinton College volleyball team rolled to an easy 3-0 win over visiting NAIA foe, Morris College at home Tuesday evening on Dig Pink night from Rock Hill.
The Lady Golden Bears won by scores of 25-7, 25-5, and 25-9 to improve to 9-9 on the season.
Clinton recorded 12 kills in the first set hitting .429, then hit 13 kills in the second at a .550 clip and finally 10 kills in the third at .444. CC was led by 12 kills from junior OH Sierra Smith as she hit .611 with 3 aces.
Freshman setter Sierra Faulkner then recorded 27 assists with an ace and 3 digs while junior OH Amoni Washington had four kills and three aces. Middle blockers Monica Burns and Alexia Cunningham combined for 10 kills as Burns hit .500 with five aces. Senior DS Ashanti Washington also had 5 aces, 4 digs and an assist.
Clinton will next head on the road to battle Johnson & Wales in Charlotte On Thursday at 6 pm.
