Point Lookout, MO - The Clinton College volleyball team recorded their best season in school history in 2023 with 12 wins including a 6-match win streak at one point.

The Lady Bears were rewarded with a trip to the NCCAA National Tournament in Missouri in  late November for three matches. Unfortunately, the young team was not able to pick up any wins while there but they gained valuable experience in the process.

Clinton entered the tournament with a 12-13 overall record having come off a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to rival Regent University (Va.) in their final game of the season on Nov. 9 falling 15-13 in the fifth set after rallying back from two sets down.

Then, at the national tournament, Clinton took on the 22-win College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in the first round and competed in hte second set falling 25-14 but was no match for the powerful team. Then, in their next game, Clinton faced the 19-win Oakland City (IN) squad but fell in three sets also (14-25, 8-25, 12-25). Finally, in Clinton's final match, they took on the 18-15 Wayland Baptist (TX) school but fell 18-25, 6-25, and 7-25.
