ROCK HILL, SC - Clinton College has named the Male Student Athlete of the Month for December 2024 as junior captain Jordan Snipe Campbell of the men's basketball team.
Jordan has been delivering standout performances recently, averaging an impressive 20.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game to help lead the team to a 7-4 record. Now in his third year with the program, Jordan's development and production have soared since his freshman season. As the only returning player from the team's 2023 National Championship appearance, Jordan brings invaluable experience to the court. He played a crucial role in the NCCAA South Conference Championship game in 2024, contributing 18 points, 4 steals, and 4 assists off the bench.
Over the summer, he earned his insurance license and is actively preparing for a career in the field upon graduation.
Beyond basketball, Jordan enjoys spending time with friends and family and loves going fishing. He credits his mom as his biggest inspiration, admiring her dedication and passion to ensure his success, and he hopes to emulate that for his own family one day. His favorite foods are chicken alfredo and macaroni, and his favorite movie star is Chris Tucker for his comedic brilliance in the Rush Hour series. Music is a big part of Jordan's pre-game routine, with artists like G Herbo, Big Scarr, Big Yavo, Hunxho, and Lil Uzi Vert getting him hyped for games.
Jordan chose Clinton College because of its welcoming HBCU environment, where he feels supported and encouraged to succeed. His favorite memory at Clinton so far is traveling to the Virgin Islands with his team, marking his first experience outside the U.S. On the court, his most cherished moment was winning the regional championship last year, and earning his first championship ring as a Golden Bear.
Looking ahead, Jordan's career goals include working as an insurance agent after graduation, with aspirations to eventually transition into real estate and corporate America. If given the chance, he'd love to have dinner with YouTuber MrBeast, whose generosity and ability to create life-changing opportunities inspire him.
