#14 Clinton Men Can't Complete Rally against Ft. Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - The 14th ranked Clinton College men fell 97-86 on the road at NCCAA South Region rival, Fort Lauderdale University Tuesday evening.

Clinton Falls to 15-8 on the year and 8-1 in the Region and will complete their regular season on Saturday when they head to DC to battle Washington Adventist University.

Senior guard Cam Shannon again led the Bears with 18 points and 4 assists while senior forward  Isaiah Stone had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Clinton put six men in double-digit scoring on th enight. 

Also shooting well was junior wing Jordan Maxwell with 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting along with 7 rebounds and a season high 7 assists. Senior point guard RJ Bell also had a good night scoring 14 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists while fellow guard Tyler Hammond had 11 points, 4 assists and a steal. The final member of the Golden Bears to finish with double-figure points was freshman wing Isaiah Borders with 11 points along iwth 4 boards, 2 assosts and 2 blocks.

UFTL limited the Bears, the second ranked offense in the NCCAA, to jsut 32 ponts in the iftrst half as the Eagles took a 45-32 lead at the break. Clinton then posted 54 points in the second half but it was not enough as UFTL scored 52 to grab the win. Clinton shot 54 percent for the game while UFTL shot nearly 60 percent.
