Clinton Men Dominate Wilberforce in Return Home

ROCK HILL, SC - The Clinton College men's basketball team rolled to an easy 114-89 win over visiting Wilberforce University (OH) on Tuesday night from Rock Hill.

Clinton shot an impressive 53.7 percent in the first half making 22 baskets and six threes to lead 69-38 at the halftime break. The Golden Bears then shot 52 percent in the second half but scored just 45 points as WU (5-12) outscored CC 51-45.

Clinton was led by senior guard Cam Shannon's 23 points and team-best nine rebounds and 2 assists while four other Golden Bears finished in double-figures including 4 of 5 starters. Senior Guard Tyler Hammond then added 18 points, 2 assists and 2 steals whle fellow senior guard RJ Bell chipped in 16 points and three treys.

Senior Forward Isaiah Stone also had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a block while fellow forward, freshman Isaiah Borders added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Clinton improves to 7-7 on the season and will next head to Greenville to battle CIAA foe Fayetteville State in the MLK Classic on Saturday night at 7:30.
