Arlanda Best enters her third season as Assistant Coach for the Lady Golden Bears. Best graduated from North Carolina Central University with a degree in Public Health Education. As a four-year starting six-pin rotation player, she ranked third all-time in kills at NCCU in just three seasons. While at NCCU, she earned multiple honors including MEAC All-Academic Team, 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-State Volleyball Team, Chekeria Reid Sportsmanship Award, and All-MEAC Team selections.
 
Arlanda used her fifth year of eligibility at Taylor University (IN), where she aided the Trojans to a 31-7 record and an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament. She was awarded All-Crossroads League Team honors and achieved her 1,000 career kills.
 
In addition to her collegiate coaching role, Arlanda brings six years of head coaching experience at the club level with Carolina Shockwave Volleyball Club. More importantly, she desires for every athlete she comes into contact with to know Christ. She is committed to mentoring young women to reach their highest potential on and off the court.
